Summary

The Inbound Outbound Coordinator monitors production processes of the manufacturing facility to ensure all products meet company quality and food safety requirements during plant operations to ensure compliance with all company, regulatory and Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards. Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1) Daily audit of the distribution center for the following:

  • Check & record unit temp set point on all incoming and outgoing trailers.

  • Check & record trailer condition (damage, cleanliness, odors, etc.) on all incoming and outgoing trailers.

  • Check inside trailer temperature at time of trailer receiving.

  • Check trailer inside temperature prior to loading all outbound trailers. All outbound trailers are to be pre-cooled to °F prior to loading.

2) Product:

  • Product checks will include non-destructive temperature checks on packaged products and internal product temperature checks on fresh bulk packed products.

  • Check case weights on incoming product.

  • Check labels on incoming product an validate against spec.

3) Trailer Temps:

  • Confirm units are set to either summer temp (24°F April 1st – October 31st) or winter temp (28°F November 1st – March 31st) settings.

4) Outbound Checks (conduct outgoing trailer product checks for best-in-class appearance):

  • Be sure there are no crushed or collapsed cases.

  • Ensure proper case end label

  • Be sure there are no incorrect cases and no broken pallets.

  • Check for proper shrink wrap and ensure all combo product is shrink wrapped to the pallet with no tears.

  • Inspect all fresh product – no leaks, wet cases, or stained cases.

  • There should be no dirt or debris on cases or combos.

5) Logistics and Transportation back-up.

6) Schedule, route and coordinate the delivery of Niman products to the customer and cold storage facilities.

Minimum Education

  • High school diploma or GED.

Experience Requirements

  • 1-2 years relevant work experience.

  • Must have knowledge of transportation.

  • Solid reading, writing, math and analytical skills.

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

When in a plant environment:

  • Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.

  • Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.

  • May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.

  • May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit and noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.

  • May be exposed to dust, feathers and all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.

  • Occasional exposure to carbon dioxide vapors 10ppm and chlorine less than 20 ppm.

  • Able to stand for several hours.

  • Work may include lifting (up to 50 lbs), reaching, bending, pushing boxes on conveyor assembly.
