Summary

The Load Out Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of shipping/receiving department associates along with box stack off associates. This position is also responsible for promoting and maintaining positive working relationships within the team. Other duties include, but not limited to, management of the shipping dock, ensuring HACCP and Food Safety shipping regulations are met, accurate inventory management, as well as timely and efficient coordination of shipments.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for all shipping and receiving along with ordering pallets and recycling trailer.

• Must be a qualified forklift operator and able to drive a shag truck (or be willing to learn).

• Ensures processes are in place to increase associate retention, improve safety results as measured by the Safety Scorecard, and create an environment that will make the facility the Employer of Choice in the area.

• Daily and monthly safety audits.

• Provide associate training and encourage improved hourly production to maximize results of individual and team efforts.

• Ensure yearly training is completed with all shipping team members.

• Must be able to load trucks, bill out all orders, and stacker sheets daily as well as pick sheets for dock truck loaders.

• Supports and promotes the company’s annual People, Products, and Profitability goals through effective planning, communication, emphasizing the requirement for all team members to be efficient and effective in their respective responsibilities.

• Complete work orders for forklifts and dock repairs.

• Monitor loaded trailers.

Minimum Education

• High School Diploma or GED required (Bachelor’s degree preferred)

Experience Requirements

• 5+ years of related work experience.

• Computer literate with skills in Microsoft Office.

• Previous supervisory experience and proven track record of leading people to get positive results.

• Must be able to organize multiple protocols/projects and complete on schedule.

• Ability to analyze and resolve challenges at a strategic and functional level.

• Strong customer orientation.

• Must be able to communicate to all levels of the organization; possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills.

• Must be able to travel to other facilities and plants for meetings and/or company business.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

• May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.

• May need to access files, supplies and equipment.

When in a plant environment:

• Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.

• May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.

• May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

• May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.

• May be exposed to all chemicals used in pork, food, processing facility.

• Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.

• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.

• Bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, sitting and grasping varies in repetitions, distances, degrees, angle weights, height, intervals of time, object grasped and body positions depending upon the task being performed.
