Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Operation Support Coordinator-Facilities.

As a Operation Support Coordinator at MercyOne, you will provides support for the Facilities Department. Performs a variety of secre­tarial and general clerical duties, often using own judgment as to work procedures and routinely relieves supervisor of some tasks. Assignments are prioritized and characterized by need requiring a considerable amount of efficiency and discretion and the high regard for initiative, tact, independent judgment, and confidentiality.

  • Completes a wide range of typing tasks, which include correspondence, lists, forms, charts, tables, and records. Uses own judgment for prioritization and obtains input from the Director for time intensive or complex projects.

  • Proofreads and edits draft and final copy materials for appropriate and consistent format, accuracy of financial figures or other data and correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar. Coordinates projects to make sure charges are accurate, remain on budget, and are properly closed out.

  • Maintains accuracy of the ledger on all assigned projects Processes purchase orders (PO's) and monitors them to ensure payments are made in a timely manner. Follow up on contractor bids to ensure timeliness and accuracy.

  • Acts as point of contact for contractors when they get to site and coordinates their work with facilities staff. Arranges meetings and conferences, schedules interviews and appointments, completes travel arrangements and maintains personal calendars.

Schedule:

  • Days, Monday- Friday

General Requirements:

  • Proficiency in office equipment including two applicable software packages required, preferably three (i.e., Word, Excel, and Power Point).

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of previous customer service, service coordination, or project coordination experience required. Preferably in a healthcare or industrial institution.

  • Requires professionalism in both dress and conduct on the job.

  • Must be detail oriented, have strong communication and organizational skills, and able to work in a fast-paced environment and is able to perform a variety of duties characterized by frequent change.

  • Requires ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment dealing with highly confidential and sensitive matters.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required. Post high school coursework preferred.
