Description

Robert Half is looking for a Staff Accountant for a client in the Sioux City, Iowa area. The role involves handling a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance in our financial operations. You will work closely with other finance team members and interact with clients as needed to maintain positive relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process client invoices in adherence to the firm's billing policies and specific client requirements.

• Manage the firm's accounts payable and credit card transactions, ensuring all receipts are collected.

• Handle payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations.

• Conduct periodic financial audits to identify discrepancies or issues.

• Assist in maintaining the general ledger, accounts receivable, and year-end financial close and audit preparation as needed.

• Collaborate with the finance team to enhance accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.

• Ensure the confidentiality and security of client billing information.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.

• Professional accreditation such as CPA or CMA is advantageous.

• 2+ years of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role.

• Proven proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Demonstrated experience with Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger management.

• Familiarity with Journal Entries and Month End Close procedures.

• Hands-on experience with NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.

• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports.
