[Job Summary]{.underline}

Provide optimal guest satisfaction by effectively supervising and overseeing assigned venue operations, convention service, bar operations,front-of-the-house (FOH) operations of the Buffet, Luckys, Prime Cut, Lounge, Bingo Concessions and Food Arcade.

[Essential Job Duties]{.underline}

  1. Display willingness to work any/all shifts assigned.
  2. Maintain the highest-level customer service standards. Promote responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages. Comply with FandB Department Alcoholic Beverages Control Policies and Procedures.
  3. Encourage desired quality of food and beverage items served.
  4. Professionally and effectively resolve customer complaints.
  5. Document and report to Food and Beverage Manager all incidents-of interest involving F and B employees and customers related to safety, security, service, products and performance. Provide written shift summary as directed.
  6. Present ideas to: reduce costs; improve sales/customer satisfaction and employee performance. Follow through on approved ideas.
  7. Perform human resource management tasks as directed by the Food and Beverage Manager. Responsibilities include: properly training new hires and identifying training/retraining needs; assigning and directing work efficiently and effectively; motivating desirable work performance; rewarding and disciplining as directed; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  8. Maintain knowledge and skills needed to perform job duties of all subordinate positions.
  9. Receive and control inventories as directed by the Food and Beverage Manager.
  10. Comply with sales transaction processing and reporting procedures for cash, checks, credit cards, comps, discounts, coupons, gift certificates and room charges. Process gaming point redemption purchases on the POS System utilizing a guest's Club Meskwaki Card in accordance with established procedures. Adhere to Food and Beverage Variance Policy.
  11. Comply with Company and Food and Beverage Department complimentary policies and procedures. Issue non-gaming comps to guests as needed to minimize/eliminate guest dissatisfaction and build customer loyalty. Maintain sensitivity to comp budget.
  12. Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  13. Communicate and network effectively with all FandB employees, other departments, and outside representatives in order to maintain a productive and effective department operation.
  14. Safeguard and account for the assets of the owners.
  15. Comply with policies and procedures required by the FandB Department, the Company, the Sac and Fox Gaming Commission, and the National Indian Gaming Commission. Enforce all policies and procedures fairly.
  16. Monitor the casino environment and follow established safety and food sanitation procedures to provide for the safety of guests and co-workers.
  17. Work respectfully and effectively as part of the company team to ensure guest satisfaction, asset protection, and co-worker respect.
  18. Display the highest standard of ethics in performance of all duties.
  19. Complete team member evaluations and employee on-boarding questionnaires in a timely manner.
  20. Approve and update team member time cards and requested paid time off.
  21. Create schedules as needed per venue.

  1. Report to work on time and as required in profes ional attire, display a high level of personal cleanliness and follow personal appearance standards.
  2. Encourage staffing levels that support desired customer service and reflect optimal allocation of human resources.
  3. Ensure that all areas are clean and stocked for the next shift.
  4. Conduct shift meetings as directed to resolve operational problems, review policies, provide marketing/promotions information and communicate significant changes to operations or Casino.
  5. Attend all required meetings and training sessions.
  6. Maintain confidentiality.
  7. Perform other job related duties as assigned.

[Supervisory Responsibilities]{.underline}

This position will have the authority to: maximize opportunities and resolve problems with employee training; evaluate performance; enforce performance standards; delegate staff scheduling and invoke disciplinary action. This position may have other supervisory authority assigned as necessary through management. This position directly supervises Buffet dining room attendants, Buffet host/cashiers, Luckys hosts/cashiers, Luckys wait staff, Prime Cuts hosts, Prime Cuts wait staff, banquet servers, bartenders, cocktail servers, bar backs, utility persons. This position has the authority, through proper channels and as approved by the Food and Beverage Manager to procure any supplies needed for the operation of assigned departments.

[Physical Requirements/Working Conditions]{.underline}

May be exposed to loud and continual noise levels and a smoke filled environment. Some lifting up to 50 pounds may be required. Must be able to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time. Requires occasional bending, squatting, reaching above shoulder level, balancing, and pushing or pulling equipment. Must wear tread safety shoes and comply with positions dress code.

[Minimum Job Qualifications]{.underline}

Knowledge/Education/Work Experiences: Must be at least 21 years of age. Requires a high school diploma or GED. One (1) year food and beverage experience in a large-scale operation. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have knowledge of food safety and sanitation requirements. Basic computer or point of sale system skills required. Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the Sac and Fox Gaming Commission.

Skills/Abilities: Must be able to deal with the general public, customers, Tribal officials and employees with tact and courtesy. Must be able to perform work independently without supervision. Must be able to read, write, understand, interpret and implement policies and procedures. Must be able to handle busy and stressful situations. Must possess poise and tact. Must be flexible with working hours and days off. Must have good organizational and communication skills. Must be able to meet all internal supervisory or higher, training and education requirements.
