Robert Half Operations Analyst in Urbandale, Iowa

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a diligent and detail-oriented Financial Analyst in URBANDALE, Iowa. This role primarily involves managing multiple projects in the financial sector, preparing accurate customer invoices, and maintaining and updating purchase orders. The ideal candidate will be adept at reviewing and processing vendor invoices and conducting job account reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage assigned projects as the key point of contact and perform a variety of duties

• Prepare customer invoices accurately for all individually assigned accounts, including appropriate sales tax application

• Review billed sales report and accurately record job costs, track all costs of the job throughout the project as compared to estimates, record and track proper accruals, and report to the management profitability on a timely and accurate basis

• Create, maintain, update, and manage purchase orders

• Review vendor invoices for accuracy and process for payment

• Perform job account reconciliations and other various accounts as assigned

• Monitor outstanding receivables and work with customers and the credit team to resolve customer disputes and facilitate customer payment

• Set-up Subcontractor agreements within system application based on approved documents and terms

• Review billing backlog and coordinate communication with appropriate management to resolve obstacles

• Perform general administrative functions to support the customer service process

• Undertake additional duties as needed and assigned to ensure a reflection of a Center of Excellence for our customers' experience. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting functions and budget processes

• Solid understanding of finance principles

• Experience with QuickBase and Intuit QuickBase software

• Knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems is a plus

• Ability to handle posting payments, post payments tasks

• Experience with purchase orders, customer invoices, and entering vendor invoices

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy, ability to multitask and meet deadlines

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
