Job Title: Seasonal R&D AssistantJob Description

As a Seasonal R&D Assistant, you will be responsible for setting up and making adjustments to regulate factors such as temperatures, pressure, flow, and reactions of materials. You will support the automation manufacturing process by monitoring operations, managing inventory, performing safety inspections, and submitting hazard recognitions and safety suggestions. You will work closely with engineering and operations teams to drive continuous improvement and assist in various projects and other duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate and control units manually on control systems

• Run and shutdown production facilities and manage product changeover activities

• Decontaminate equipment

• Conduct routine analytics and take samples

• Document and communicate work results

• Support troubleshooting of process deviations in cooperation with shift supervisor

• Handle fast-paced and high throughput sample processing

Essential Skills

• Experience in Biology, Agriculture, R&D, and Automation

• Proficiency in Microsoft Software and internal software programs

• Ability to operate and control automated equipment

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Ability to document and communicate work results effectively

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associates degree in agriculture, supply chain production is preferred

• Agriculture research experience preferred

• No degree required

Work Environment

You will be working in a highly automated facility with three shifts available: 1st shift from Monday to Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, 2nd shift from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, and 3rd shift from 11:30 PM to 8:00 AM. This is a seasonal role ramping up from January to the end of May/early June. You will receive one paid holiday and PTO.
