Position Purpose:

Ambulatory Surgery Department is a 26-bed unit open Monday through Friday caring for patients with same day procedures

What you will Do:

Nurses complete preop assessments and postop care of surgical, cardiology, radiology and Interventional Radiology patients from pediatrics to adult.

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care of patients.

Supervises and coordinates care provided by LPNs and PCAs.

Facilitates communication with physicians, families and other team members.

Hours/Schedule:

Full time, day shift.

Flexibility with hours during the week is very important, and ASU is closed on weekends & holidays and with no call.

Minimum Qualifications:

Active IA RN license

BSN preferred

No experience required

Through evidence-based practice, the RN utilizes critical thinking to assess, plan, implement and evaluate outcome based care of patients. The RN supervises and coordinates care provided to patients by the LPN, Patient Care Assistants and other nursing team members. The RN facilitates communication with physicians, patient and family, other departments and/or team members.
