This is for full-time, peak-load temporary employment. Duties include As Heavy Truck Drivers, workers may drive a semi-truck, dump truck, or ready-mix truck weighing at least 26,001 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). Workers will be required to load and discharge construction materials such as wet batch concrete, dirt, gravel, sand, and debris to and from construction sites using a hydraulic lift system. Workers will be responsible for operating vehicles or mechanized equipment in a safe and efficient manner, as well as cleaning, inspecting, and performing basic maintenance. Workers will communicate with supervisors and other workers to coordinate the delivery and pickup of materials. Must have class B commercial driver's license or its foreign/international equivalent. Must have one year of CDL driving experience with dump trucks. Must be able to drive a manual dump truck. Must have at least one year of wet batch driving experience. Must be able to change a dump truck tire. Must follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving the truck, as well as wear appropriate safety gear when required. Must pass employer-paid pre-employment and random drug testing. Must be able to lift to fifty (50) lbs. throughout the day. Training will be provided on the job.

The pay is $28.00 per hour with overtime available at $42.00 per hour, based on hourly rate. The schedule is 40 hours per week from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, and Saturdays occasionally. Returning workers and workers with experience may be paid higher wage rates. Job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. Daily travel to worksites in the area of intended employment is required. The requested temporary workers will be based at 2611 Burton Avenue Waterloo, IA 50703 - Black Hawk County and will service clients within the Waterloo-Cedar Falls, IA, Northwest Iowa nonmetropolitan area Northeast Iowa nonmetropolitan area, Southeast Iowa nonmetropolitan area, including the counties of Mitchell County, Howard, County, Winneshiek County, Cerro Gordo County, Floyd County, Chickasaw County, Fayette County, Clayton County, Wright County, Franklin County, Butler County, Bremer County, Hamilton County, Hardin County, Grundy County, Black Hawk County, Buchanan County, Delaware County, Dubuque County, Story County, Marshall County, Tama County, Benton County, Linn County, Jones County, Jasper County, Poweshiek County, Iowa County, Johnson County, Cedar County, Keokuk County.. Employer provides transportation to and from all worksites.

Single workweek will be used in computing wages due. Pay period is Weekly. Employer will provide housing at a cost of $125 per week payroll deduction. This housing is optional and at the discretion of the employee. Employer will make any deductions required by law. Transportation, including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging, to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed by a company check, separate from the payroll check, if the worker completes half of the employment period. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back to home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economically and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Reimbursement in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (but not included passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker). The employer will provide worker, at no charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job and on the job training in the proper use of tools and equipment. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period only to the extent that this guarantee is enforced by the Department of Labor. As of the date of this posting, the three-fourths guarantee is not enforced.
