Conagra Roaster Technician - 2nd or 3rd Shift in Waterloo, Iowa

Shift: This role is 3rd Shift, with various start times-various end times

Hourly Rate: $25.65 an hour + $1.40 shift differential

You will oversee the production processes in the making of David's Sunflower Seeds. Throughout this process, you will complete safe and efficient operation of the equipment in the assigned production area while following all quality standards. Schedule:

2nd Shift | Monday - Friday | 2pm - 10::30pm

or

3rd Shift | Sunday - Thursday | 10pm - 6:30am

Schedule finalized at the time of hire.

Starting Pay :

Up to $27.90/hour - this can continue to increase throughout your time with us.

Essential Functions:

  • Operate a sit-down forklift up to 50% of the shift.

  • Troubleshoot/Repair Roasters and Brine Tanks

  • Complete weekly equipment sanitation including startup and shutdown of the Roasters.

  • Follow all safety requirements and guidelines.

  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.

  • Maintain a clean work area and follow all 5S requirements.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

It would be great if you also had:

  • One year of Shipping and Receiving experience

  • Previous exposure to adjusting HMI screens.

  • Previous exposure to basic plumbing elements.

Work Environment Requirements:

  • You will work in a manufacturing environment with varying conditions including moderate noise levels.

  • You will move within office and manufacturing facilities, write by hand and keyboard, and perform general office functions.

  • You will communicate by speech and hearing by phone and in person.

  • Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use.

  • General manufacturing, warehouse and office environment.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
