Description

This individual will handle high-level accounting functions as well as be involved in transactional accounting. The role includes working closely with executive leadership on strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and future outlook.

As the Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the financial operations and accounting functions of the organization. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and contribute to strategic financial planning and decision-making processes. This position involves collaboration with department heads and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Analyzing financial data and presenting financial reports accurately and timely. Monitoring financial performance against budget and forecasting variances.

  • Developing and maintaining the annual budget process. Preparing financial forecasts and projections. Providing insights and recommendations to the leadership team based on financial analysis.

  • Managing cash flow and ensuring the availability of necessary funds. Monitoring banking activities and ensuring compliance with cash management policies. Optimizing banking relationships and initiating strategies to enhance the cash position.

  • Overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Maintaining a system of controls over accounting transactions. Ensuring accurate payroll records are recorded in the GL and serving as a backup to the payroll process.

Work Environment

  • This is a permanent position.

  • This is a fully on-site position in Waukee, Iowa.

  • In-office. Potential for 1-2 days hybrid after training, but would prefer fully in-office.

  • Work closely with 6 executive team members.
