Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor III to join our team located in Waukee, Iowa. The Accounts Payable Supervisor III will play a crucial role in ensuring that all aspects of our operating expense payments are in accordance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, and federal, state, and local reporting requirements. This role involves collaborating with colleagues in Finance and other business leaders across the organization to effectively convey accounts payable and vendor funding matters.

Responsibilities:

• Provide oversight and management for employee, system, process, or policy issues

• Develop, implement, and document accounts payable policies and procedures

• Conduct research and resolve invoice/payment discrepancies and recommend process changes to avoid ongoing issues

• Comply with internal control procedures and ensure all financial deadlines are met for month-end and year-end financial closings

• Assist with Accounts Payable system conversion including the coordination with connecting systems, general ledger, and procurement

• Review accounting and compliance tasks with a continuous focus on improving processes and enhancing financial controls

• Handle special projects, including system upgrades, as needed

• Ensure compliance with internal and external audit functions

• Assist with Unclaimed Property reporting and annual 1099 preparation for IRS reporting

• Lead a team and work with a broader team within the organization to ensure smooth operation of the accounts payable function. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook is required

• Must possess strong communication skills

• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is essential

• Familiarity with Compliance and Policy procedures

• Ability to perform Ad Hoc Financial tasks as needed

• Knowledge of General Ledger and Procurement procedures

• Experience in Payment Processing and Invoice handling

• Ability to conduct Research and Review tasks effectively

• Project Management skills are desirable

• Experience in Finance and External Audit processes

• Familiarity with Workstation Support procedures

• Knowledge of Property and Financial Control procedures

• Ability to handle Discrepancy issues

• Experience in Reporting and Analytics is beneficial

• Training skills would be advantageous
