Job Description:
Educator Role
Specialty Area: Emergency Department (at all three campuses)
Facilitates, directs, and coordinates the designing, planning, implementing, and evaluating of educational programs and performance improvement activities. Ensures that such programs promote professional growth and competency of staff, learning needs of patients and families, and the attainment of the organization’s strategic goals. Ensures that educational programs are consistent with criteria and standards of care established by licensing and accrediting bodies and processional organization. Coordinates orientation/ clinical experiences for all staff and students within the organization. Coordinates tracking of organization-wide educational/safety programs.
Registered Nurse Role
Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members. Effectively interacts with the patient, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing. Provides high quality care to the following patient populations: Geriatric, Medical/Surgical, Adult, and Telemetry.
Qualifications:
Required:
Current RN License or other applicable health related licensure as need for job title.
Associate degree in nursing or health related field
Preferred:
Prefer bachelor’s degree in nursing or health related field
Prefer 2-5 years of experience in providing adult education
Prefer proficiency in Microsoft Office
Prefer course instructor for Basic Cardiac Life Support, Advance Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
Prefer 2-5 years of experience in area of specialty
