Description We are in search of an Audit Manager in the public sector to join our team in WEST DES MOINES, Iowa. The role will primarily focus on delivering audit services to non-profit organizations, contributing to the firm's growth, and overseeing a team of audit professionals. This role is a unique opportunity to use your auditing skills and passion for the non-profit sector to make a significant impact on our firm and the organizations we serve.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, plan, and execute audits for our non-profit clients.

• Oversee a team of audit professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit services.

• Maintain clear communication and build strong relationships with clients.

• Identify and assess potential audit risks and develop strategies to manage them.

• Collaborate with partners to devise strategies for new business opportunities.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant auditing and non-profit regulations.

• Contribute to staff development via mentoring, training, and performance evaluations.

• Use auditing software and Microsoft Office Suite to carry out tasks efficiently.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial and auditing standards.

• Prepare and present audit findings and recommendations to clients. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in the field of auditing, preferably in a public sector context

• Proficient in using 3M and CaseWare for audit management

• Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems is essential

• Proven experience in managing and executing audit engagements

• Solid understanding of accounting functions and financial statements

• Ability to conduct audits in compliance with set standards and regulations

• Extensive experience in financial auditing and external audit processes

• Proficiency in using Audit Program for planning, executing, and reviewing audits

• Able to interpret and analyze complex financial data to identify potential areas of risk and non-compliance.
