Job Description:

Job Title: Cash Management Coordinator FLSA: Non-Exempt

Department: Accounting Revision Date: 08/2024

General Function:

Reconciles main Hy-Vee checking account. Reconciles various GL accounts and assists with bank reconciliations.

Reporting Relations:

Accountable and Reports to: Financial Reporting Supervisor

Positions that Report to you: None

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Reconciles the main Hy-Vee checking account. Assists with daily store deposit variances. Assists with bank reconciliations at month-end and quarter-end. Deposits Benefit Plan checks and reconciles the account. Writes checks for payments for the Benefit Plan. Balances ACH/EDI to bank statement received from bank. Reconciles various GL accounts monthly. Reports to work when scheduled and on time.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

Backup for daily investing. Manages bonus eligibility changes for profit sheet. Processes bank analysis fee invoices for payment. Research and answer monthly profit and loss questions. Reviews entries affecting gross profit. Completes monthly gross profit journal entries, and various other entries. Assists in researching any inter-company and inter-divisional variances in the monthly trial balance. Performs other job related duties and special projects as required.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent plus 2 -3 years of college with an emphasis in accounting.

Over 1 year similar or related work experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near range with or without correction.

  • Must be physically able to perform sedentary work: occasionally lifting or carrying objects of no more than 10 pounds, and occasionally standing or walking.

  • Must be able to perform the following physical activities: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

Working Conditions:

The duties of this position are performed in a general office setting. There is weekly pressure to meet deadlines.

Equipment Used to Perform Job:

Calculator, telephone, copier, PC with Microsoft Office programs.

Financial Responsibility:

None.

Contacts:

Has daily contact with store personnel, financial institutions and state government officials.

Confidentiality:

Has access to confidential information, including payroll, debentures, Benefit Plan, 401k, credit card machine in Accounting Payroll room, and store director Profit Sheets.
