Wells Fargo Lead Business Accountability Specialist - HR Governance team in WEST DES MOINES, Iowa

About this Role:

The HR Governance team is accountable for the strategy, oversight, and execution of enterprise-wide HR Governance Programs and partners closely with HR Control, Risk Management, Audit and Regulatory Relations. This is a key role providing strategic consulting support for Human Resources stakeholders on a broad array of governance programs.

You will work closely with partners in, HR, Compensation, Performance Management, Risk, and Compliance to ensure LOB programs are compliant with applicable laws and internal and external requirements, effectively balancing risks and financial rewards in a manner that supports our customers, team members, and the company. This includes providing counsel and guidance regarding current and future needs, understanding regulatory requirements impacting HR programs, and consulting with enterprise and line of business partners. You will also participate in the creation of materials and facilitation of governance committees.

A successful candidate will have the ability to take initiative and work independently, strong communication and problem-solving skills, effective project management and interpersonal skills, experience in facilitating change management processes, ability to provide effective consulting to the business and partners, and a proven ability to work across matrixed teams.

In this role, you will:

• Provide consulting/oversight over HR governance standards to ensure compliance with requirements and alignment with enterprise-wide HR Governance programs

• Drive HR Governance program objectives and ensure effective end to end process execution

• Assess, analyze, and design complex and multi-faceted controls, protocols, and approaches with respect to risk mitigation and the control environment, including ensuring effective planning for sustainability, ongoing control adherence, reporting, measurement, technology impacts, and monitoring

• Make decisions in complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business's functional area or products, operations, and regulatory environment; facilitate decision-making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans; influence and lead key business partners to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives

• Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid to senior-level managers to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations, and provide guidance in interpreting, developing, and implementing risk-mitigating strategies

• Develop responses to internal and external requests related to HR Governance risk and compliance, including disclosures, exams, information requests and other inquiries, in partnership with enterprise

• Ensure incentive plans and performance management outcomes have been documented to meet company, audit, and regulatory requirements

• Provide critical consulting and credible challenge, when needed, to key stakeholders

• Establish and maintain relationships with enterprise compensation, risk, and legal partners to develop efficient and consistent practices across all functional business lines

Selected candidate will be required to work within one of the following Wells Fargo locations: Charlotte, NC; Minneapolis, MN; Des Moines, IA; Dallas, TX; San Antonio, TX; and Phoenix, AZ and San Francisco, CA.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of risk management, business controls, quality assurance, business operations, compliance, or process experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with regulatory compliance requirements surrounding Human Resources and risk management.

• Consulting experience in compensation, performance management, human resources, accounting, or finance

• Experiencing influencing stakeholders to get buy in

• Proven experience in with conducting risk or compliance process assessments

• Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple and competing priorities

• Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment and can take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability

• Ability to be flexible and adjust plans quickly to meet changing business needs

• Experience with Workday

• Intermediate Excel skill and experience with data analysis

Job Expectations

Pay Range

$111,100.00 - $237,100.00
