Description:
As the Customer Operations Representative, you are responsible for reviewing and processing of financial and non-financial activities for our active Deferred Annuity products, including withdrawals, transfers, and setting up repetitive payments. Will also assist with return mail and other administrative duties.
Daily Duties:
Core responsibilities are around relationship management and transaction processing. Responsible for reviewing and processing annuity applications - this role is repetitive but looking for a team player and not just a heads down worker!
75% of this position will be processing - very heads down position and will require strong attention to detail. Will be reviewing applications for accuracy and missing documentation. Will be reviewing retirement annuities paperwork.
This process is very manual compared to other companies. Must be comfortable manually inputting information and navigating several computer systems to complete cases. Will be using ADWD systems in que, MainFrame, and KB for knowledge based software.
25% of the role will be communicating with the sales team and agents through phone and email. Very minimal phone communication but must be open to it. Will contact external customers and agents to obtain the necessary information to process the requested transactions
This position is the first place new business is processed. Quality and productivity is huge and depends on the success of the company in general.
After training, this position will be held to 90% quality, managing 18-22 cases/day and taking 10-15 calls per day. Will work out of a que for calls with sales or agents.
Will be responsible for understanding federal and municipal tax regulations and understanding the difference between IRA and NQ accounts and how client’s different request can affect the client regarding being a taxable event
Skills & Qualifications:
2+ years of strong Financial Services & Insurance experience
Must have processing experience – 1+ years
Strong attention to detail
"Customer first" mentality
Annuity experience strongly preferred!
