SERM, part of independent risk management, is primarily responsible for leading enterprise risk programs, governance, and infrastructure. The function provides an aggregated, integrated, and holistic view and understanding of Wells Fargo's combined risks and helps the company address those risks.

CRRA strives to make our business partners increasingly effective by delivering more impactful self-service independent risk management challenge dashboards, Regulatory, Board, and Committee reports, and advanced data analytics to facilitate forward-looking, strategic risk-based decisions.

Business Analysis, Reporting, & Intelligence includes four primary functions: business analysis & reporting, advanced data analytics research and prototyping, report/ dashboard development, and production oversight & governance.

This role requires a leader who will be responsible for the hands-on execution of deliverables and managing staff at various levels with responsibility for:

  • Business Partner Engagement. Providing an efficient and seamless engagement and intake experience designed to deliver high-quality and actionable Business Intelligence (Reports, Dashboards, etc.) in a timely manner for CRRA stakeholders and customers. This involves serving as SMEs to tightly coordinate scope and requirement capture with report/ dashboard development, data analytics research and prototype, product ownership, and independent quality assurance teams. It also involves developing and documenting business requirements/ Agile epics and stories.

  • Prototyping . Performing in-depth research and building prototypes & proof of concepts (POCs) to identify risks before they become issues, bridging the gap between business problems and expected outcomes, horizontally connecting dots between data across non-financial risk stripes to provide a holistic view of non-financial risk programs, and identifying data trends to validate complex calculations required for dashboards/reports

  • Business Intelligence & Reporting. Developing real-time, informative, and actionable Business Intelligence (Dashboards & Reports) designed to enable oversight dialogue around themes, trends, risks and issues, to support high-risk related decision-making processes. Conducting unit testing, regression testing, and peer reviews.

  • Development Lifecycle. Supporting release coordination, dashboard access provisioning, production dashboard support and monitoring, defect tracking, dashboard readiness (via data sources like CARAT, Teradata), and EUCT & model oversight

  • Agile. Executing agile processes and maintenance of Jira boards, and the UAT process

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Manage and develop staff at various levels with focus on delivering highly complex risk reporting, dashboarding, and analytical capabilities to ensure current and future needs are identified, addressed, and managed on an ongoing basis

  • Identify opportunities and strategies for customer engagement, prototyping, and report/ dashboard development, including process improvement and risk control development

  • Make decisions and resolve issues regarding strategies, resources, and reporting operations to meet regulatory and non-regulatory reporting objectives

  • Recommend strategies and actions to be considered by senior management; execute accordingly

  • Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals, peers, and managers including senior leadership

  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources

  • Partner with key internal stakeholders namely the report owners, product ownership, data operations, and independent quality assurance to ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures

  • Assist Control Executive team in responding to internal/external audits or regulatory queries

  • Coach team members to operate at full potential by keeping them fully engaged, providing challenging assignments, and providing opportunities for growth

  • Develop a culture of accountability across teams and where quality and creativity are equally valued.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 4+ years of Management experience

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of reporting and data technology architecture

Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expert risk knowledge with regulatory and business experience and technical expertise to challenge the norm and implement best practices

  • Strong preference for hands on experience developing and managing others in the development of dashboarding tools such as Tableau, Workiva, PowerBI, MicroStrategy, and/or Alteryx and report building using tools such as MSFT PowerPoint and SSRS

  • Proven experience engaging directly with senior leaders and end users to align on strategy, capture requirements and manage UAT

  • Proven experience working with large data sets with the ability to research and prototype to solve business needs

  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and ability to interact with team members at all levels and achieve goals without direct control over resources in some cases

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Exhibits appropriate sense of urgency in managing responsibilities

  • Proven ability to think and execute strategically

  • Demonstrates high degree of reliability, integrity, and trustworthiness

  • Efficient skills using MS Office and Visio

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

  • Ability to work at one of the approved locations in the job posting

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$173,300.00 - $359,900.00
