Wells Fargo Senior Ab Initio Data Engineer in WEST DES MOINES, Iowa
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) Senior Data Engineer where you will be Designing ETL processes for large data warehouse projects using Teradata, Ab Initio and Autosys. You'll work on complex problems to provide troubleshooting and resolving production issues, data research and fixing defects. You’ll be part of a technical team building enterprise-wide projects through all phases of the system development life cycle including estimating, analysis, design, testing, implementation, user support and documentation.
In this role, you will:
Lead moderately complex initiatives within Technology and contribute to large scale data processing framework initiatives related to enterprise strategy deliverables
Build and maintain optimized and highly available data pipelines that facilitate deeper analysis and reporting
Review and analyze moderately complex business, operational or technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
Oversee the data integration work, including developing a data model, maintaining a data warehouse and analytics environment, and writing scripts for data integration and analysis
Resolve moderately complex issues and lead teams to meet data engineering deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of data information policies, procedures and compliance requirements
Collaborate and consult with colleagues and managers to resolve data engineering issues and achieve strategic goals
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Data Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
2+ years of Ab Initio experience
2+ years of Teradata experience
1+ years of data warehouse experience
1+ years of SQL experience
Desired Qualifications:
1+ years of Mainframe programming using COBOL and JCL
Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
A BS/BA degree or higher in information technology
Ability to provide leadership to a virtual or remote team
Knowledge and understanding of incident management: gathering impacts and analyzing data
Experience working on Agile Scrum/Kanban teams
Job Expectations:
Participation in on-call rotation
In office expectation of 3 days per week

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$84,000.00 - $149,400.00
