Job Title: Senior Retail Media Analyst Department: Red Media FLSA: Exempt

General Function:

The Senior Retail Media Analyst will play a critical role in shaping the future of Retail Media by serving as an expert of, and advocate for, Red Media data and using it to create compelling data stories for our clients. This role will require a deep understanding of digital media metrics and measurement methodology, leveraging both to deliver strategic insights at both a single campaign and broader business level. The Senior Retail Media Analyst understands that data and analytics are foundational to successful client relationships, and therefore strives to provide best-in-class reporting and analytical capabilities. Through the analysis of complex data and crafting of thoughtful insights, this role will work with internal partners to help suppliers understand campaign performance and identify actionable opportunities to ultimately grow their businesses and increase investment.

Accountable and Reports to: Senior Manager, Media Analytics

Direct Reports: None

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with front-of-house sales and account management teams to present data stories that showcase positive business outcomes and demonstrate ROI.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Sales, and Account Management, to understand campaign objectives and build advanced data-driven strategies.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive reports on campaign performance and key metrics, utilizing advanced data visualization techniques to communicate insights effectively.

  • Take the lead in customer segmentation and targeting strategies, optimizing campaign results and driving enhanced ROI.

  • Conduct marketing campaign analysis including large ad hoc data and insight requests.

  • Utilize advanced data analytics methods to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities, contributing to the continuous improvement of retail media strategies and business growth.

  • Independently extract, compile, and interpret data from retail media platforms, while guiding and mentoring junior analysts.

  • Implement and optimize automated processes for data analysis and reporting to streamline operations and maximize efficiency.

  • Oversee the generation and distribution of asset compliance reports, ensuring strict adherence to internal and brand standards across all in-store and digital executions.

  • Communicate complex data insights in a clear, concise manner to both internal teams and clients.

  • Maintain and expand knowledge of various data platforms and tools to improve data analysis and reporting efficiency.

Experience and Education:

  • 5-10 years of proven experience in retail media analytics or a related field.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field is required; Master's degree is a plus. ​

Physical Requirements

  • Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near range with or without correction.

  • Must be physically able to perform sedentary work: operating a computer, occasionally lifting or carrying objects of no more than 10 pounds, and occasionally standing or walking.

  • Must be able to perform the following physical activities: meeting with customers, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics: ​

  • Deep experience in Retail Media Network analytics preferred

  • Proficiency in advanced data analysis tools, including Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and other data visualization platforms

  • Proficiency with SQL a plus

  • Strong initiative and desire to take ownership of key processes and deliverables, in order to improve quality, timeliness, and effectiveness

  • Demonstrated expertise in interpreting complex data sets and generating actionable insights.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

  • Strong leadership qualities and the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.

  • Deep curiosity for data and the customer shopping journey

  • A passion for leveraging data to drive strategic decision-making and achieve business objectives.

Working Conditions

The duties for this position are performed in a general or remote office setting. There is weekly pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a day.
