Job Title: Senior Salesforce Platform Developer

General Purpose of the Job:

The Senior Salesforce Platform Developer is responsible for delivering innovative solutions on the Salesforce platform, working closely with team members and stakeholders throughout the project development lifecycle. This role involves coding, testing, debugging, maintaining, and documenting program code, as well as collaborating on system specifications and development processes. The developer will lead technical architecture design, ensure adherence to best practices, and effectively communicate technical concepts to various audiences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Salesforce Development: Lead the configuration and custom development of Salesforce solutions, adhering to best practices.

• Technical Architecture Design: Design technical architecture solutions that span multiple platforms, including system integration and authentication.

• Collaboration: Partner with team members and stakeholders to support and facilitate the development process at every stage.

• Strategic Alignment: Work with management and executives to ensure project deliverables align with strategic goals.

• Process Improvement: Interface with team members to standardize and enhance development processes.

• Project Planning: Collaborate with management and business areas to plan and deliver project milestones.

• Coding and Testing: Prepare, code, debug, and test programs using best practices and standards.

• System Improvement: Evaluate, create, and modify new or existing programs to enhance system interfaces.

• Documentation: Document code changes and assist users in developing procedures.

• Research and Analysis: Conduct research and analysis to identify system solutions.

• Communication: Effectively communicate technical concepts in a clear, concise manner to various audiences.

• On-Call Responsibilities: Perform on-call duties as required.

• Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school.

• Experience: Minimum of four (4) years in an application development role, with experience in coding, testing, and debugging environments.

Certificates, Licenses, and Professional Designations:

• Required: Salesforce Platform Developer 1

• Preferred: Salesforce Platform Developer 2

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Salesforce Expertise: Proficiency in Lightning App Development, Data Modeling, Apex Triggers, Apex Rest API, Asynchronous Apex, SOQL, Lightning Flow, Data Management, Platform Events, and Data Integration.

• Tools Experience: Experience with Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud, Salesforce DevOps Center (preferred), Copado, and AMPscript scripting language.

• ETL Tools: Familiarity with Informatica or other ETL tools is a plus.

• Problem Solving: strong ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.

• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and understanding of business implications.

• Collaboration: Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset, sharing responsibility and accountability with team members.

• Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and interact in group settings.
